Default Problem with new Yamaha gas cart

I am thinking of buying new Yamaha gas golf cart. I asked a gentleman the other day how he liked his cart. He told me that Yamaha was having a problem with the clutch which is making the cart noisy despite being quiet tech.

Has anyone heard this or had this issue? The main reason I want to buy a new one is because of the quiet tech.

Thanks!

I had this issue when I picked my 2019 last April, brought it back and they said it was a coomon problem with the clutch. They adjusted it, and no problems since.

I have owned a 2019 Yamaha since December, 2018 and have had no problems. The new models are a huge improvement over previous models.

Default No problems

We bought a 2018 gas Yamaha golf cart - quiet tech - absolutely no problems- we love our cart - bought it through The Villages -brand new after researching and going to 2 other places - you can’t beat the extras you get from buying in The Villages Golf cart locations - pricing is the same when you add the others up.

Yes, what you were told is true. I purchased a 2019 for the same reason you stated. My cart has the clutch issue. Disappointing for sure. I was told by Village Golf Cars all 2019 have this noise issue, which seems to develop when cart is about 6 months old.

Electric carts are even quieter. Zero emissions as well.

If common problem, what is YAMAHA doing about it. Sounds like a recall issue.

Thumbs up Problem with new Yamaha gas cart

I have a 2018 model purchased new from Carts & Clubs (Ocala). While I don't remember when the problem first started, it exhibited a resonant vibration that you could feel through the floorboards at mid-speed. During an oil change at my house, I discussed the issue with the mobile mechanic from Carts & Clubs. He said it is a common problem. He fixed it for free right on the spot. It took about a half an hour or so. The issue has never resurfaced. It runs perfectly after the adjustment.
