Default Solar Golf Carts

I know there's been a couple of posts regarding solar carts but I didn't see any specific to these Classis Cruise Car models.

Just wondering if anyone has driven one and what their thoughts were.

2 more days and we're on the road to TV for good!!

Default Solar Golf Cars

Anyone have reviews for the solar golf cars used in The Villages. What brands? Does it provide greater range for you? Reduce your charging time etc.?

I bought a solar panel for the roof of my Club Car about a year ago. It is not a hard top which you see sometimes. It's glued to the roof of the cart. Since I have had this panel I have noticed an increase in mileage and the batteries seem to last longer when travelling around. In other words the battery indicator doesn't drop as fast. I have had these batteries for over 3 years and they are still good, probably thanx somewhat to the solar panel.

You won't get amazing results from a solar panel but it does improve battery performance.

I purchased my panel from Solar for golf carts (solarforgolfcarts.com).

Do you leave your cart in your drive to charge, or just rely on what sun you get while out and about?

Is it "plug and play" or is some expertise needed to install it?

Thank you

Whenever I return home I plug in my cart in the charger. You cannot just rely on the sun. When I'm playing golf and park the cart in the sun I notice that the batteries don't discharge as fast when returning from the course.

I wouldn't think you can install this yourself. Of course you can glue the solar panel to the roof of the cart. However, there is a unit which attaches to the panel and is connected to the batteries. I guess if you were fairly handy you could install this yourself. I just had the unit installed by the company.
