Default Smart car EV

If you don't golf, why not get an off-lease Smart car EV for $10K and have it limited to 20 MPH for the MMP. It will fit in your golf cart garage

The number of times you would be stopped, honked at, etc would not be worth the cost, if it could even be done.

I think it is a little to big to park in golf cart spaces. I would just get the car and drive it as a car if you like. For $10,000 I would get a golf cart with hard doors, a fan and a heater if this would make the cart more suitable for you.

You could also restrict an old BUICK to a max of 20 MPH in theory. Imagine how much excitement would be created when you meet that thing in a tunnel. Put this in the "bad idea" file, please.
I say that based on my experience of meeting some misguided individual on a full-dress Harley in a tunnel. Don't know if he was on drugs, drunk, a recent-arrival snowbird, or just one of the "entitled" amongst us.

A smart car is actually smaller than a golf cart so will fit in a golf cart garage.

I don't think I want to know how you decided on "Crash".

Smart car fits in our golf cart garage with room to spare. Same width as golf car and a little shorter. Our friends store their smart in our golf cart garage in the winter.

For reference - Smart car is 60 inches wide without the mirrors and a Polaris GEM is 55 inches wide.
....Just in case someone might want to compare the Smart to an old Buick.

And a real golf cart, is about 45 " wide. Should we also have horses and motorcycles using the MMP because they can fit through the garage doorway?
Just hope a Buick never meets your "Smart" car head-on anywhere.
