Default Star Sirius at TVGC

The Villages Golf Cars is now selling Star Sirius golf carts with a 210ah lithium battery. About 80 miles of range per charge. About $18K.

It is probably a better alternative to the EZGO Elite.

My 2011 EZXGo RXV gets 65 miles with half that battery size, the Roypow 105AH. A friend put the same Roypow battery in an old Club Car and gets only 45 miles. I got 45 miles with a 130 AH 4 seat Evolution last November before I returned it. I read that dealers are promising 65 miles with the 180 AH Evolution.

80 miles with a 210 AH battery is not very impressive. I believe the 120 AH EZGO Elite gets 60 miles. It would be interesting to get more real world experience. Sure would like to know why the big differences. My cart has regenerative braking which probably helps a little.

The EZGO electrics are more efficient and have less power. 65 miles out of 105ah is very good.

My electric with 120ah usable (built the lithium pack myself) goes about 50 miles and 0-20 in under 5 seconds. If I keep it at 15 mph with light acceleration, I can get about 70 miles.

TVGC sells the Elite for about $18K and the Sirius is about the same.

I can program my cart to do wheelies but, um, I like to have a couple rounds of beer after golf

My next project when I can get ahold of these BYD Blade LiFePO4 cells....$100 per kw.

Tesla is reportedly going to buy BYD's new 'blade batteries' in an unlikely partnership - Electrek

I would be about 6 hours in a golf cart and by then I can definitely get to Orlando. Since 10 months of the year is 90 plus degrees here I seriously doubt anyone really wants to do that I would think it's really more for your safety to have extended range or for your ego which is what I presume most people are buying a fancy golf carts for as they have nothing else to spend their money on

I can get a little under 100 miles per charge - that's with the AC on.

Default Question

I’m a little ignorant about these vehicles. Is that a car and a golf cart. What is the maker?

Keep it off the golf course and don't speed over 20mph

Its an Atomic. It is a golf cart but it can also be registered as a LSV which means you can drive it on any road that has a speed limit of 35 or under - if you are brave enough!
