Default New motor?

Mrs Fox has an old (12 years?) 36v E-Z-GO and the motor is beginning to act up - sometimes makes a growling noise and smells (the cart; not Mrs Fox)

Apart from that, the cart runs well and is in good condition, with newish batteries

Bearing in mind the cart's age - it won't go on for ever - should I get a new motor put in or go for a used or reconditioned motor (if such are available)?

Please PM me with any recommendations as to who to use.

Thank you

Just rebuild it from someone that knows how to rebuild golf car motors.
