Replies 6 and 7 answered the question. There is no way you can take a vehicle that is 1.5 feet wider than a golf cart on the multi modals. Heat and AC aren't your problem. But most people here don't read the replies before posting... Post only board for many.

OP, IMHO, sell your cart, if necessary, take a loss, since it will not be useable here, and resale here will probably be lower than where you and you will avoid the cost of transporting is south. I took a car with our furniture, it was an addition $1300 for the move.
Good luck, PS, I really agree with several comments above, as I am guessing that you are going to get pulled over multiple times per year.

Actually, it’s secured to a light pole with a bike lock. The Villages Golf cart store (352 205-8909) should have an answer on the ATV question as they also sell ATVs.

Question - what will I have to do to my Polaris Ranger XP1000 to allow me to use it there in the Villages

OP, your Polaris Ranger is a great vehicle. I have a couple of friends that own one and we use it for hunting trips up north and find them to be both very fun and to be a very usefull. They also can come in very handy for plowing snow if set up with a winch and a plow. That being said, I can not see the UTV being of much use at the Villages. It is oversized for the golf cart paths and might be too tall for the tunnels, does not have tires that are golf course friendly, and has way too much power. I would recommending selling it up north as there would be more potential buyers and hopefully you will get enough for it to get a brand new Yamaha gas quiet tech golf cart with independent rear suspension and still have enough left for some quality seat upgrades. I feel your pain having to sell the UTV, someday when my wife and I transition from Snowflakes to Frogs I will have to part with several toys including two ATV's, a 50 HP Kubota Diesel tractor, a Kawasaki KLR 650 duel sport motorcycle, and my snowmobile. Welcome to the Villages!

It'snot that you have to drive it under 20mph, the law states that to be considered a LSV, it can't be capable of going over 20mph.

In order to drive it on the streets, you would have to have it registered in which case it would have to have all of the safety equipment required on other vehicles. I don't know if it would be considered the same as a motorcycle or a car. If it is classified as a car it would need a windshield and wipers.

It would not be allowed on the golf cart paths under any circumstances.

Thanks for the up-front answer "tophcfa" it's tuff to say good bye to all the toys

You don't plan on playing golf, you just want a cool looking vehicle to tool around on the cart paths. There are a lot of customized golf carts in TV, you'll be limited to 19.9 mph unless you get a tag and go street legal, but there are a lot of options.
