Default What is the best golfcart windshield?

2 section solid plexiglass fold down?

Fold down with louvers like on Villages Discount carts?

The large windshield with a small section on the bottom that folds out? Like Villages Golf Carts sells.

Which do you have? Are you happy with it? Pros & cons please. Thanks.

When we purchased our 2018 Yamaha, it had the one piece with opening at the bottom and found it to be VERY HOT. We changed it to the fold over with opening grills at the bottom and were very happy with the choice. More air moving means more comfort. Plus, fold it over and listen to the music at the squares was much better for us.

Definitely fold over with vents on the bottom. My wife likes the fold over closed and it would be too hot without vents. I like the fold over open unless it's very cold out. I also don't like golfing with the fold over closed since the plexiglass interferes with my rangefinder getting quick distance readings. The only reason I could justify getting a one piece windshield would be so you can instal a windshield wiper.

The Villages Golf Carts sells all three and have them on demo's. Try them and see what YOU like. What I think is best doesn't count.

While this is certainly a viable option, the OP should consider if he/she is a golfer, you want as much air as possible during the summer months when you're moving slowly from hole to hole. For this reason, I would never switch from my fold down windshield.

We prefer the fold down as well. I made a screen for the upper section which keeps bugs out as It drives me nuts to ride with the windshield up and not get any air. I also built a frame so I can use the wind shield as an appetizer table for tailgating.

Sight line was important to me. Vented at the bottom is my choice.
