My 2012 Yamaha headlight is burned out. Is this easy to change? Should I upgrade to a better light? Where can I buy a replacement bulb? I went to the store I bought the cart and they didn't have time to help, granted it was 10 minutes before closing.

Just went thru it. Go to the Golf Cart store in Colony they have the bulbs. If your handy you can do it no problem, couple of Philips screws. Or you can ask them if they'll do it for you. Took about 15 minutes.

its an H3 bulb available at Walmart, and yes it takes about 15 minutes per side

Don't touch the new bulb with your bare fingers. The oil will create a hot spot and bulb may fail prematurely.

I removed the 2 screws, but the light assembly wouldn't come loose. I think something needs to be released from the rear. Colony salesman said their are 2 kids of hookups on the bulbs, flat and round, but he didn't know which 1 was for my cart.

If you buy a new light from Colony wipe off the bulb really good because the salesman put his fingers all over the bulb.

You may need to remove the actual black(?) plastic housing so the entire headlight assembly comes out. Be careful of the wiring, i just had to repair a fellow villagers cart where the wiring connections failed after being moved.

The whole bezel and light assembly comes out, just twist out the turn signal bulb, leave those wires attached. Remove the 3 10mm bolts,disconnect the 2 wires that attach to the light. Light will be in your hand. Unscrew the 2 phillps screws at the top and bottom of the light, no need to remove the bracket that is attached to the light. Change the bulb and reverse to assemble.

Seems Yamaha could design a more convenient method to change a bulb, than having to remove the whole assembly from the body, to change a bulb and make aiming adjustments.
