They are an authorized Yamaha repair center. I heard the parts won’t be available for a while.

I recieved a response from Carts & Clubs about the recall,
and it stated that they will get in touch soon,
to schedule a service appointment.
They will check the brake cable and if any fraying is found it will be replaced.
If no fraying clips will be installed to keep it from doing so!

Good question.
I'm planning to use my golf cart for golf; but I plan to stay away from hilly courses.

My letter stated that if my cart is one of them Yamaha will be sending a letter or you can get onto their site and check your model and serial number. I hate recalls, my current car has had 7 recalls in 2 years.

Good to have some info on the problem. Newer carts will likely only need the clips to prevent fraying.

I received a letter from The Villages Golf Cart explaining the procedure for inspection and repair about a week ago. If my cart is affected by the recall they will send me on my way in a loaner cart. Very happy with them so far, we have been with them for almost two years.

Same here got my letter last week. My cart was in for a tune-up when I got the letter and they did the recall work while my cart was there without me asking them. Left the cart there and went to the mail box and the letter was there.

Always been happy with The Villages Golf Cars. Have had 3 carts from them over the years. Still have 2 of them.

Hmmm...have a 2015 purchased from Villages and a 2017 from carts and clubs. Looked up model and serial numbers on CPSC recall list and both are affected. I have not received a letter or been contacted by either dealer.

Anyone else who confirmed their serial number still waiting for contact? Just wondering if they are still in progress or are done?

Otherwise, I will call the dealers next week.

Ps..I just came across carts and Clubs thread on TOTV and registered for their service call. Kudos to them for being proactive.

Respectfully, I think the recall at SS on March 12, at LSL on March 14, and at Brownwood on March 16,
is merely to assess the extent of the problem.
Hopefully, it's an "easy fix" that they can immediately correct without involving loaner carts.

They had my cart in for something completely different and I asked them about the recall. They took about 10 seconds to look at the brake arrangement and said mine was OK. Apparently it is obvious to those who know what to look for.

The other site.
It was also reported in The Daily Sun

I have a Honda Accord and I have been notified of a recall but it wasn't reported anywhere. However I don't care.
