Totally agree!

Agree, partially. The real problem comes when you stomp the brake, and lock the wheels. Then, the lack of weight allows the cart to slide like it's on ice. It is themed that is the issue. Slower speeds allows safer stops.

IMO for price of these villages prepped golf carts close to 20k it should have disc brakes with anti skid. chilout

Write to The Villages Gol Carts and post their response for us to see when they start equipping their 20k carts with disc brakes.

I find the rear drum brakes on our Quiet Tech to be plenty adequate (our carts are set to max out at 20 MPH), but not as good as the wet brakes in the rear axle of our 2014 Yamaha EFI. For anyone thinking of modifying their cart so it can go well above 20 MPH, try pretending someone pulled in front of you while you’re going 20 MPH and slam on your brakes. After that you will probably think twice about making the modification.

Had a customer who had to stop at the top of the bridge at spanish springs and make sure no one was at the bottom. Had the shop he was using come out 6 times,,,,yes 6 times, finally decided to try someone else, I fixed it right, customer ever since. Its very common, just find the few that know how to do it right and a 5 year old can stop the cart.

Kenny, please what is your number? I have a Yamaha quiet tech and would like my brakes to work better also. It seems to me that one side catches before the other so it takes more force than I like to compress pedal. PM me if you prefer not to post your number.

Michael from the cart fixer always adjust the rear brakes when doing a service call at your house.

Willie's does the same. My brakes stop my Yamaha QT cart just fine...

But the usual suspects need to find something to "Mitch and Boan" about...
