Yesteryear Karts Retrofit
Yesteryear is offering a program whereby they will take your existing cart and put either the coupe or truck body on your chassis. It's in the $6K neighborhood.
Has anyone on the forum done this? I still need to try one on to make sure my manly shoulders aren't too big for the snuggish interior, but I'm leaning toward a truck model. I don't like the full sunbrella over the back, so I'm a bit concerned about rain drops falling on my clubs and bag. I like the removable seat option in the truck bed -- it'll let me haul my nieces or a couple ton of gravel or even groceries. So, any experiences out there? `

Yesteryear Carts initially told me they can only convert Easy Go and Yamaha carts. Then they came and picked up my Columbia Par Car and asked their mechanics to look at it for conversion. They returned my cart and said they could do a conversion. Now I'm struggling to convince myself that cute is worth thousands of dollars.

The deal is that they add the frame to your chassis. Base cost is something like $5300 for the coupe and $5900 for the truck. This does not include the doors and a couple other things. A very wide choice of colors is available, but two-tone, flames, and special designs are extra. I was told it would be about 2-3 weeks to design the shell and a week to assemble it. Doors are, in my opinion, mandatory. Other options/choices I want, add a total of about $1800 to the base. One caveat of note, though obvious really, is that the top is fully warrantied, but the chassis, motor, brakes, etc., are all yours. And remember my comment above --- dollar amounts are SWAGs.
