I was holding her and had just been cuddling her when she sighed and in her own way said thanks. I am heartbroken. She was 16 and I had adopted her when she was 3. She will always be sorely missed. RIP Bouv!! The Villages Florida :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
Ironically, she passed exactly 2 years after her son, Bubba. It was a Sunday. 8-19-2006 when Bubba also died in my arms. The date is slightly different because of the calender, but I knew it was Bubba's anniversary of going to Rainbow bridge. My heart is broken, but is mending knowing and remembering our baby and our unique bond. I adopted her, helped her birth her babies, (4 were breach) and held her when she left. What a special dog she was!! I want to thank all of my TOTV friends for your comforting words!!!! Bouv is in my heart and always will be. :'( Thanks to all of you, again!!!

I am so sorry, Rhonda, I melted when I read how Bouvier left you and it brought back a very strong memory for me. What a lucky little puppy Bouvier was when you walked into her life! That is a very long doggie life so she must have had much love and care from her family. And I'll bet she gave sooo much back to all.

I just opened your link. I can't type. I am crying. How beautiful. We sought to give you peace and you gave it to us.

Rhonda:

I add my sympathy. I know that The Cat sends his sorrow, too, 'cuz you added your words of comfort to me when he went to The Rainbow Bridge!

My wonderful vet, Dr. Valdez, sent this RB poem to us 2 years ago when I lost Bubba, Bouvs son. He was my special little guy and I had a tough time losing him. You see, when Bouv gave birth, Bubba wasn't breathing. I panicked, not knowing what to do. Instinct kicked in. I gave him life. I sucked his snout! yuk. But it worked. He was my shadow every minute of every day! I still miss him terribly. The "Rainbow Bridge" has helped me tremendously and I am happy you found it as meaningful as I did!!!
