Default Boxer Mix Desperately Needs Home ADOPTED

ADOPTEDThis boxer mix showed up at the Girl Scout Camp Equestrian Center in Wildwood a couple of months ago. A woman who works there took him in hoping to find the owner or a permanent home. It hasn't happened and she must give him up since she already has two medium dogs. This male boxer mix is very young (probably under a year old), is friendly with other other dogs, and the barn cat at the camp. The woman caring for him called the Humane Society and they had no room for him. They told her to call animal control and they told her they would keep him for a short time before they would have to put him down. That would be a shame because he would be a great pet with a little training and discipline. He knows his name and can sit.

Thank you. My little Bichon Girl 12 1/2 died last week and I am left with a senior girl of 14 1/2 year old.....it's so lonely without the little girl. I know my old girl will not do well with another dog. I am looking though

I'm so sorry for your loss, jsling. I remember how helpful you were to two strays last year.

Thank you for your interest in Opie. I think he would be too big for you after having a bichon. I am a volunteer for The Shih Tzu and Furbaby Rescue, and they have many wonderful dogs in foster homes waiting for someone like you. Let me know if I can help you find a new baby. Sometimes older dogs perk up when a younger dog enters the pack. She probably also misses her companion.

Fl boxer rescue only takes purebreds....
Please let me know if you develop the intention to surrender this one to a kill shelter....
My boxer rescue is the love of my life, and I will help.

Thank you Kitty. I have paid his caretaker to have him neutered, so that has been accomplished. He is a friendly, active puppy that needs to run and play. I'm not sure how much longer his caretaker can keep him. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Did you try calling Pet Smart? or Petco? They always have adoptions there so maybe they could take him?

This is always a ad situation, particularly when it's a nice dog like Opie. I hope there's someone out there who can adopt this cute fur baby.

It breaks my heart when I hear of a nice dog in need of a good home.
I wish every single cat and dog could have the home they deserve.
Instead people discard animals like a dirty kleenex when the pet gets too large or requires too much exercise or the family moves or has a baby.
Thousands of lovely cats and dogs are euthanized each year.
It's a damn shame.

Let's find this boxer mix a good home!
