I would appreciate recommendations and fees that have been charged.

I recently used a mobile service that swaddles and doesn’t sedate the dogs. It was fabulous - I can’t believe my dogs’ teeth look like they had it done at the vet’s office! Bright ‘n Shine: (833) 267-3368

Call Animal Clinic of Leesburg. They use gas instead of heavy IV sedation on my 3 pound Yorkie. Price is reasonable.

Overall, just call vets and ask what they charge. Anything in The Villages will likely be more expensive than surrounding towns. The anesthesia free cleanings aren’t for deep cleanings. They’re for maintenance and usually require monthly appointments.

If you brush your dog's teeth, you won't need a vet to clean them.

VOHC Toothpaste for Dogs.

I’ve never had my dogs teeth cleaned. I’ve had 5 Catahoula leopard hounds in the last 30 years & never had any problems with their teeth. maybe it’s a little dogs that need them cleaned?

Makes ya wonder how the species ever survived.
Next up, fluoride treatments (no eating, drinking or licking for an hour) and mouthwash. Great oral hygiene for the mouth that chews anything and everything and licks it's own but(t). Don't forget doggy dentures and implants. Lip gloss by Max Factor.

Kibble and crunchy dog chews are why domestic dogs get all this tartar buildup that wild canines don't get. Just think - if you had to eat liver-flavored saltines in the place of any/all of your "snacks" during the day, and then follow it up with ground 50% fat beef with ground bone that you can't chew, and ground vegetables, all sluiced up and dried with crackermeal and sawdust into pellets for your dinner every day.

You'd have a lot of tartar buildup too. All of that "dental health" kibble they sell? It CAUSES tartar buildup, it doesn't prevent it. It's a lie based on the concept that scraping your tooth against a rough hard surface is all you need to keep your teeth clean. What they don't tell you is that gluten acts as a glue, that causes those chewed rough hard surfaces to stick to the teeth, creating a perfect environment for buildup and bacteria.

Raw bones with marrow, and wet food (especially rehydrated raw, or raw mixed with fresh veggies and blended in the blender to make a pate) are the optimum diet for a healthy dog with healthy teeth.
