Dog Rescue Asking For Help
The rescue I volunteer with is having to ask for some help. Normally, the rescue has auctions, raffles, etc. to raise money, but sometimes when a lot of dogs need vet care at the same (and especially when you have two that had expensive spine surgery in two weeks) the rescue has to ask for donations.
I'll tell you a little about the new dogs below, but first I know some of you have asked in the past if they can donate directly to the vet. I will give you the surgeon's information so you can contact them to verify that they did work on a Low Rider Dachshund Rescue of Florida dog, but their office will not take payments because they don't have time to take a bunch of individual payments. The surgeon is Dr. Callum Hay at Veterinary Surgical Specialists, Tampa, FL phone # 1-813-901-5100. Also, Low Rider Dachshund Rescue of Florida is a registered 501c3 nonprofit, so donations are tax deductible and you can check online to verify. And if you want, you might contact the Dachshund Club of The Villages. Even though she hasn't been asked, I believe the head of the club would vouch for the rescue. There are a number of ways to go about making a tax deductible donation (see below): - you can use the rescue's PayPal address to donate through PayPal. The rescue's PayPal address is: Treasurer@lrdrfl.com - for those that do not have PayPal you can use the rescue's Paypal link: PayPal.Me - if you are on Facebook, here is the link that goes to the rescue's post asking for help. There is a "Donate" button on the post. Hi everyone! Lots of updating and... - Low Rider Dachshund Rescue of Florida | Facebook - or you can send a check to the rescue's main office at: Low Rider Dachshund Rescue of FL 13435 S. McCall Rd. Unit 16, Box 135 Port Charlotte, FL 33981 Now briefly about the little dogs: #1 - Penny - 2 years old - had expensive spine surgery and hopefully will be walking again soon and be able to find a loving new home #2 - Ollie - 4 years old - also was paralyzed and had expensive spine surgery to try to get him walking again. #3 - Winnie has an oncologist appointment to see if she is a candidate for cancer surgery on a tumor on her face. #4 - Queenie - 12 years old - found in a trash can by the road. I don't want to even think about who would do that, but she is safe now. #5 - Moose - 10 years old - I don't know much about him. (Sorry they have a limit on the number of pics I could post.) All Low Rider dogs are seen by the vet, get their health issues addressed, get up-to-date on their vaccines, and are microchipped. Thank you so much for your time and thank you in advance to anyone who wishes to donate. It takes a village to help these dogs and sometimes it takes "Villagers" to get the job done. Bless you all and be safe. |
