We took Jasmine (our 3 year old Yorkie) there for boarding....NEVER AGAIN. We took a tour and overwhelmed by the scent of urine in some areas. Also remember it is a franchise...most have webcams which would make me feel much safer. However the owner of this one claims she just can't afford to do that. Unfortunately we had to leave poor Jasmine there that time as it was the day we left and couldn't find anywhere for her to stay last minute. We still haven't found the perfect place for when we go back home on occassion.

Wow, my goal in life has been to open up "Yuppie Puppy" Day Care for Dogs. Maybe I should be looking into that now. Seems like it could be a good idea. Wonder if my neighbors in Heavenly Hadley will complain ? (only kidding you folks)

That would be great!! Although not too yuppie as the boarding connected to "The Village Vet" would have cost $400 for our short trip back home.

Thumbs up Dog Boarding

We've been taking our two Westies to "Camp Sleepy Hollow Pet Restort & Salon" for the last six years. Their address is: 12530 Country Highway 467, Belleview 34420 Phone Number: 245-9500. They have double kennels for all of their dogs. The inside kennel is tiled, air conditioned and has a bed made of PVC and mattresses. This kennel connects to an outside kennel that is chain link fenced. Each kennel apt. is two rooms about 5 x 8. The kennels are cleaned several times a day. You can carry your own food or they supply a quality food. They will also administer meds if necessary. I highly recommend them. Go west on CR 42 to CR 467. Go north between 5-7 miles. The kennel is on the left side. Owned and operated by vets and vet assistants. Your pets must be licensed and vaccinated. AND they are not expensive!

Hi Rochelle,
I have worked for Preppy Pet Suites for the last year and a half and I'm sorry you had a such a bad experience with us. We really do try as hard as we can too keep the building as clean as possible, in fact we even have an 'open doors' policy that allow all of our customers to come in and look at the facility anytime during our lobby hours, no appointment necessary. Our staff cares a lot about animals and they try their hardest to give each animal boarding with us individual love and attention. If you have any doubts about any of our motives, or the way we do things, come in and volunteer for an hour during the day, see the schedule we have and how all of our guests are treated. As per the webcam option, no we can not afford to have those installed yet, but we hope to in the near future. If any of you have any questions regarding Preppy Pet Suites, please feel free to contact me, Ive listed the number for Preppy Pets below. And again I am sorry that you had such a bad boarding experience with us, but all of our customers are repeat customers and are proud members of the Preppy Pet Suites family.

Thanks,
Tiffany

Default Doggie Doo Run Run

The folks at DDRR also do day care and boarding. Our Maltipoo loves it there. He gets to stay with and sleep with the family at night and play with kids and doggies all day long. PLUS there are no kennels involved. PLUS it is a place he goes to have fun - the dog park part of DDRR. PLUS it is reasonable.

Yesterday my hubs was admitted to the hospital. I was in DC. Friends took Finley for walks and played with him and fed him. By the time I got home DDRR was closed for the evening. I called anyway and they told me to bring him immediately and that they would keep him as long as necessary.

Vaccinations and license are also required.

Kate

PS - hubs doing great - should be home tonight!
