Default Doggie Door

We are moving into the Villages in a couple of weeks into a keys villa. Has anyone ever put a doggie door through the screened lanai for their dog? If you have, what company did it for you? We are interested in doing this.

I played golf with a couple who lived in a Courtyard villa and had one - they bought it like that, so it can be done - they said it worked great

Beachgirl, there is a member of this forum, Handieman, who might be able to do it for you. Contact him and he'll be happy to look at it for you. You'll thank me, he's a great worker...

Have one in CY and my dog loves it. If you can't find anyone to help you, check with Home Depot. They do have the doors and probably can refer you to someone who can help you. I go to them for a lot of jobs I do at my home.

Just have to keep the snakes and other critters from using it as well.

At our CYV we put a PetSafe patio door insert (available through Petsmart) in the sliding glass door on the side patio. The dogs use it with no problem.
