Default Rescue Needing Help

The rescue I am with, Low Rider Dachshund Rescue of Florida, just took in seven (7) dogs over the weekend. Who knows what vet services they will require. They also have a little dog that just had back surgery that cost $3,025. That same dog may need his eye removed after he has recovered from the surgery. And there is another little dog that has a heart issue and it was advised that he have a procedure called balloon valvuloplasty which costs $3,000. Not to mention all the other dogs that have come in needing vet services and the forever fosters that the rescue takes care of for the rest of their lives.

The rescue has events and auctions to raise money, but when you have so many dogs at once that need vet care it wipes out the bank account really fast.

We are trying to raise money to cover the back surgery and the heart procedure of the two little dogs. If you would like to make a difference and help these little dogs, you can donate either on the rescue's Facebook page called Low Rider Dachshund Rescue of Florida where the fundraiser is listed or the direct link to the fundraiser below. Donations are tax deductible, as the rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Any amount no matter how small or how large is greatly appreciated. According to a lot of the vets, they can't afford to. I checked around this area regarding treatment for a dog and was shocked that treatment would run $1,100 - $1,300 for a particular foster dog. Most vets don't give any discounts to a rescue. We could use more Dr. Jeffs in the world.
