A number of people from The Villages have entered photos of their dogs in the Low Rider Dachshund Rescue of Florida Calendar Contest at Low Rider Dachshund Rescue of Florida, Inc. | The Low Rider & Me 2023 - 5th Birthday Celebration. They all will be in the calendar, but they also have the chance to win one of the top 13 spots in the calendar (on the cover or at the top of one the months). If you would like to see dogs from The Villages win, please vote for them. This raises money to help the foster dogs. $1 = 1 vote. You can vote any amount as long as it is at least $5, as that is the minimum. Also, you can vote for as many dogs as you like. Each dog has their own separate voting page. Below is a little about each dog and the link to their voting page.

Low Rider Dachshund Rescue of Florida is a registered 501c3 non-profit rescue here in Florida with foster homes and volunteers all over the state.

Currently in 4th place is Walter (the adorable senior). He was in first place at one time, but has fallen behind. His age is unknown. Walter is a senior who is very stubborn, but sweet according to his owner. Vote for Walter at Vote for Walter | The Low Rider & Me 2023 - 5th Birthday Celebration.

I have met a lot of dogs of this breed at Villages' area dog parks or out for walks in the neighborhoods.
