Default Identify this bird

At the risk of posting this question in the wrong forum, I would love to know what kind of bird this is. Photographed 1/6/19 in Southern Star. Sorry picture is sideways, don’t know how to fix that.

Thanks for getting the picture straight. I am thinking, after feedback here, it is a heron.

Und, it could be a damen too. I can't see between it's little legs.

It's a Great Blue Heron. They're a beautiful and very common bird around here.

If you're interested in learning more about birds and bird-watching, you might want to look into joining a bird-watching group, such as The Village Birders or The Brownwood Birders. Full disclosure - I'm a member of both.

Hello! This is a Great Blue Heron. I provided a link to Audubon for bird IDs if you're interested in the many species of wildlife that reside or migrate into Florida. I am an FWC Wildlife transporter located in Sumter County and all too often have to address these and many other species of birds, mammals & reptiles in distress. Should you encounter any wildlife issues, Community Watch in The Villages will dispatch me or other area wildlife rehabilitators to see how we can help.
