So sorry péts do leave paw prints on your heart. I know it is too early at the moment but when the time comes please consider adopting an older rescue animal they have hearts and kisses for everyone.

My heart goes out to you in the loss of your furbaby, Daisy. I hope all the wonderful memories you had with her bring you comfort. I am sure she felt very loved.

So very sorry to hear about your Daisy. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you. May your memories help ease your pain.

Barbob, also very sorry to hear of your Bichon last week. It is a terrible emptiness. Let the tears flow and allow yourself to grieve. It has already been several months and I still want to go to let her out or fill her dish with fresh water, and nothing is around anymore. I will tell you it does get a bit easier but it is still very lonely without her. My condolences. Still no rescue for us yet, but probably someday. Take care.

So sorry for your loss. The last time we went through that decision we knew we did the right thing, but it's still hard to think about. Please remember the good times -- it will help you move on.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss of Daisy.
Just think about how much you loved her and what a wonderful
life you gave her.

Thank you Linda and everyone who has offered feelings not only for Daisy but to me too for our loss. I too still look for him and tear up when I see his picture or things around the house that remind me. But because I see that others understand makes me realize we are not alone.

Barbob,

Just this year, for the first time ever, I brought out the paw print ornament made when our golden retriever Bear died in 2007. It had been in our coat closet in MI till we moved to FL this summer. Even though we only waited two months to get another golden, for whom I am joyful, it still takes a long time to get over a special pet. You will come to treasure the pictures and other reminders of Daisy, and they will make you smile, but it may take some time.
