Thanks Gomoho,
We love the older pets and feel they deserve a loving home. Not everyone will adopt an older pet because of the costs to keep them healthy. We know after we check all of our resources we will have a difficult decision to make.
We try to be good people, like our TOTV family.
Thanks for your kind words,
Janet & Carl

Janet & Carl, I commend you, too, for welcoming a more mature doggie into your home. Whomever that lucky gal is will be living their dream in your home here in The Villages. You are wonderful people. We adopted a more mature dog and she is simply the best!

Janet&Carl, Bless you for wanting to adopt a senior fur kid. After reading your poss, I am once again convinced I should adopt a senior cat as it has been 7 weeks now since my cat Magic went to the Rainbow Bridge, and I am now back home after my visit to TV.

Keep us posted when you new fur kid is adopted. Labs are wonderful dogs.

Good luck in your search. I hope it helps your heart mend, although we never forget you are doing a wonderful thing, especially adopting an older dog.

I adopted two mixed breed labs from All Creatures Sanctuary, and both are so loving and grateful for a loving home. I adore them and only wish I could take more of the wonderful dogs that are there. There are so many loving dogs at that Sanctuary that would make awesome pets. And those dogs really need a loving home.

Thanks to Janet and Carl for wanting to adopt a shelter dog and saving a life!

We are in search of an older female Lab that needs to be rescued. We are currently working with Margaret and Debbie @ All Creatures Great & Small. We have also searched the animal shelters and humane societies, etc. Just wondering if anyone knows of a private party with an older female lab that needs to be rescued. Please pm us.
Thanks,
Janet & Carl

Kudos for seeking the warmth of a cold nose from an older puppy. Pet people are good people! :BigApplause:

Thanks Kevin & Josie,
I will let everyone know of our decisions asap. Adoption can take a long time and I respect that. Even though we are very anxious to increase our family. I keep telling my cat, Tac that he will have a new sister real soon.
Janet

TOTV people are the BEST

I know the shelter has volunteers who will share the driving. They now have another female yellow lab with her black young puppy.

Just a thought. Wish you the best with giving a lab a lovely home.

Avista what a beautiful mother and daughter. The mother is not too large, just the right size for a cart ride and the puppy is beyond beautiful. Thank you for the picture. Here's  they find their forever home soon.

What a beautiful picture. Someone please reach out to these precious dogs. Sorry, we are too old for a puppy.

My veterinarians office in Summerfield has found a stray female Boxer/Lab mix, about 8 yrs old, tan color, spayed, no chip, sweet personality, and are holding this beautiful dog, until someone either claims her or takes her home to a loving environment. Could you be those new adoptive parents? Please feel free to call me: 352 633-3169 :D
