Default "For the Love of Animals" Expo

The Humane Society/SPCA of Sumter County is happy to announce its first "For the Love of Animals Expo" where PAWS Animal Hospital and Lake Panasoffkee/Floral City Animal Clinics have joined us in becoming two of the presenting sponsors. This family friendly event will take place on Saturday, March 30th, from 9am to 5pm at the Wildwood Community Center, 6500 Powell Road, Wildwood, FL (adjacent to The Villages community.)
Be sure to mark your calendar for this fun-filled day for pet owners and animal lovers alike. Whether you're interested in animal care and welfare, looking to adopt, gathering information about local businesses who support the animal community, or simply want to show off your dog in the popular Strut Your Mutt Charity Dog Walk, you don't want to miss it! It will be the largest array of animal-related groups and businesses ever brought together in Sumter County.

This event is not limited to dogs and cats; the day-long excitement will include:
• Prizes
• Silent auction
• Food trucks
• Crafters
• Fun dog contests
• Pet adoption opportunities
• Entertainment by Scooter the DJ, and the world-famous Disc-Connected K-9s Frisbee dogs
• Special Celebrity Guest: Animal Planet's popular Derrick Campana, internationally known for his work designing prostheses for all kinds of animals
• Strut Your Mutt Dog Walk: Walk your own dog or you may apply in advance to walk one of our Humane Society/SPCA's adoptable dogs
• Vendors of animal services, including veterinarians, trainers, groomers and pet sitters
• Swamp Brothers
• McGruff the Crime Dog
• Sheriff’s Department K-9 Demonstration
• Bounce houses for the kids
• Interesting pets including reptiles, tortoises and more
• Wildlife exhibit
