Default "For the Love of Animals" Expo Update for Families

The Humane Society/SPCA's 1st Annual "For the Love of Animals" Expo on Saturday, March 30th is growing by leaps and bounds with a surge in participants. The FREE admission Expo at the Wildwood Community Center will be hosting over 55 booths of various animal rescues (rabbits, cats and dogs), while regional businesses and non-profits will keep visitors busy during the 9am-5pm fun-filled day.

A valuable addition at this family friendly event, will be the Sumter County Sheriff's Office offering free finger printing and registration of children with the help of McGruff, the Crime Dog, accompanied by their SWAT Team tank and K9 Unit's bloodhound. So make sure to bring the kids!

The other special activity during the Expo is the 5th Annual Strut Your Mutt Charity Dog Walk (5th Annual Strut Your Mutt Charity Dog Walk Registration, Sat, Mar 30, 2019 at 10:00 AM | Eventbrite) which begins at 10am. Registration for the SYM Wag Bags, filled with assorted items valued now at over $50, is only $30 (pre-event) or $35 (day of event) while supplies last. Registrants are not required to have a dog to receive a Wag Bag.

Other exciting activities include performances by the world famous Disc-Connected K9's Champion Frisbee team, appearance by Animal Planet celebrity Derrick Campana, wildlife rehabilitators bringing various birds of prey along with many animal educational talks, food, music, face painting by clowns, bounce houses and demonstrations.
