Once upon a time dogs and cats were wild and not domesticated. Perhaps this duck is at the forefront of ducks evolving in household pets. The only down side I can see to ducks being domesticated is trying to pick up their poop; now that's a slippery subject that should get a lot of fowl play on TOTV.

Still will not beat the women,in her cart eating ice cream. One lick for her one lick for the dog, this went on until the cone was gone. She sat across from the square. I was waiting for the white coats to come..........................

A dogs mouth has less germs than a human mouth. May be better than sharing with relatives.

What a strange comment. You do not think that a women licks her ice cream cone then her dog is not strange. Do not believe in a minute that a dogs mouth has less germs. old wives tale.

Gotta love TOTV. We morphed from a thread about a happy duck quacking in a carriage, to a discussion of dog germs. Those darn dogs are at it again! :a20:

We had two pet ducks when I was 2 and we lived in Madison, Ohio. They would waddle a few blocks down to Lake Erie and come back up at dinnertime and peck at the garage door till my mother fed them. This was according to my mother, and I think she made that up.

I picked mine up by the neck and it was choking, and I brought it inside to my mother, claiming something was wrong with my duck. She gave it mouth-to-mouth and saved it. I'm thinking she made that up too. We did have the ducks, though--there're pictures.

My girlfriend had a pet skunk named Oscar. Of course he was "defragranced". He was an affectionate little guy. I've also known people who had pot-bellied pigs. Very smart. They're all God's creatures.

My roommate in college had a pet Raccoon at her home named Charlie! Charlie was trained to use the toilet AND flush. No joke. I stayed at her house many times and was witness to it. Pretty smart fella!! Her Dad was a vet and they got Charlie after a car accident where the offender stopped, picked him up and brought him in. They nursed him back to health in their home and the rest is history!

A few years ago my husband and I were heading across the country and we were staying in a RV park in Charleston. While sitting outside we noticed a couple walking their goat on a leash, at that point we thought we had seen everything. Later my husband went over to talk with them and yes, the goat was their pet, he went everywhere with them, lived in their 5th wheel, rode in the back seat of the truck and was house trained.

I'm a single guy spending October in TV with Rada, the wonder cat. Can I arrange for a goose?
