In the summer months i run at 3 or 4am to beat the heat, i am not sure what it is but almost every night something dive bombs me and comes close enough to my head i can hear the wings. Never can see what it is but i now wear a hooded jacket even when its 90.

We had our cats on a lease with an option to buy at the end.

No doubt someone let their parakeet out without a leash. That's what happens when we ignore the rules. First people were not leashing their guppies, now it's birds. Who knows where it will go next.
As we all know, we agreed to the covenants when we closed on our homes. Rules are rules are rules. If you break one, you'll break many. It's a slippery slope. :doggie::loco:

I am having a leash especially made for my pet flea, Albert.

Sweetie wants me to lease a lash, but I am a nice Catholic girl.

You're right Bluedog! The next thing we know, we'll have to share an outdoor restaurant patio with a guppie or parakeet. And they can be quite unruly if not served promptly!

Old threads die hard.

It's Bogie's fault. He JUST linked it.

But a good reminder to not let your kitties run free.

I seem to get blamed for everything.

Remember that cats are domestic pets, not native animals. They belong on the owners property, not wandering around outdoors. Screened lanai makes a wonderful cattery for your pet, they can enjoy the fresh air, are safe, and don't become a nuisanse to your neighbors.:)

What are the regs. on letting a cat out from time to time?

No, it is not permitted. Period.

Our cat is able to roam free in UK but here if she wants to go out she is on a leash, she catches lizards and brings them in, we wait till she gets bored with them because they play dead, we then throw them out and they run off. We also have a rabbit, squirrels a pair of Cardinals that keep her amused outside the Lanai. We would not let her out without a leash as there are too many critters and cars out there. We have seen several kitties killed on the roads when we go for our bike rides, use a leash!
