Nothing was different. It could have been a brain tumor.

having just endured 2+ years with a dog with seizures I can say that many times I wished he would pass away in his sleep. never could get the seizures under control...he was on multiple meds several times a day. In between seizures he was his old self so it was always hard to say when was enough. eventually could not increase meds anymore and seizures were not able to be controlled so had to let him go. I'm so sorry for your loss, but I think your poodle did you one more act of unselfishness by sparing you from seeing him or her suffer. Still it's never easy and your loss was more sudden then mine. take comfort in knowing you gave your pet a great life.

I thank everyone for the comforting posts. It does ease the pain. If anyone does Facebook, there is a post in his memory on the Florida Poodle Rescue page. His name is Sunny. Thank you all.

So very sorry for your loss. Most of us have been down that path and know what that feels like. I'm sure your little one will be sorely missed.

I just visited Sunny’s page and was really touched. Sunny resembles one of our Bichons. We have a female and the red harness on Sunny looks just like ours.

So sorry to here that you're pooch didn't make it. I've lost several and every time it's hard.

my male yorkie had grand???? siezure during bath. He was acting weird and during blow dry became un controllable. He was running wild bouncing off walls I grabbed him and held him till the episode subsided and he calmed down, which took 20 or more minutes. He was blind for few hours and finely recovered, but wasn't his old self. He was 15 when this happen and lived 2 more years after the seizure. He didn't like loud noises and got frightened easily. He could see some and function well after his recovery.

My first poodle went blind at 6 yrs old..I took her to a veterinary ophthalmologist in N.Y.-thinking it was cataracts & after surgery she would be fine....Unfortunately, it wasn't & the vet told me it was a type of blindness that mostly affects poodles & no surgery to help....I cried a lot & she adapted & lived 6 more years... Hang in there!
