Default Rescue Desperately Needs Foster Homes

The rescue I am with, Low Rider Dachshund Rescue of Florida, is desperately needing foster homes. So many little dachshunds and mixes are being surrendered to the rescue that we have a waiting list. Currently all the foster homes are at maximum capacity, so we are reaching out to see if anyone would like to help out. You can do one dog. You can specifiy if you want a senior or young or medical needs, etc. We just need good people with a loving heart who can let a little dog crash at their place until we can find a loving permanent home for them. You are not obligated to continue fostering, but we hope you would fall in love with fostering and want to continue. Can any of you help us out or have a friend or neighbor who might be interested?

Anyone interested can go the rescue's website that tells about fostering. It is just like taking care of your own dog: feeding, watering, providing shelter, taking to vet appointmenst if necessary. The rescue pays the vet bills. Go to: Become A Foster Parent – LowRider Dachshund Rescue Of Florida to read more about fostering for the rescue and you will find a link to the fostering application there.

We really need the help! The little unwanted dogs really need your help! Thank you.

We have a cat that doesn't play well with others - but it's great to know that you folks are around! Once Lola goes to the great cat condo in the sky (not for a few more years, we're assuming - her exact age is unknown) we'll look you up!

Thanks, Jazuela. We'll be around and I'm sure still needing foster homes. If you know anyone that might be interested, please let them know. And I hope your cat is around for many, many more years.

Your kitty doesn't have to play with the pup. But you would be surprised sometimes how an older cat can get along quite well with a non-aggressive newcomer dog.

Knowing how cats like heights and all things being equal, couldn't Lola take the high ground while a foster dachsie takes the low ground (no pun intended)???

Cats and dogs together are so much fun!
