Day 2

Everything we MAY have learned went out the window because Sadie spent a week in a kennel while Mr & Mrs yours truly were in TV. Okay we walk into class, Sadie barks, instructor hands me squirt bottle. Spritz in the rear she stops. Today we concentrate on drop it, take it, and release words such as OK or whatever. I can't believe I'm putting myself through this :edit:. Sadies having a blast. Lets just say I've got my work cut out for me. Makes me want to go to the casino with mrs F. Then again nah.

Dagnabit, had a post all done and somehow hit the wrong key.

Anyway, Sadie Mae is behaving exactly as she should. I think your previous Irish Setters were confused as to their breed (or you just forgot how puppyish they are). I still can't wait for you guys to bring her down for a visit.

Rhonda, go see my weird kitty post. I did have to dump a bowlful of water on her this am to get her rear out of the dishwasher though -- for some odd reason, I don't think clean dishes and cat hair are a good mix.

Default The Graduate

Although I've been laxed updating Sadie Mae's progress in her training, it all boiled down to repetition with rewards. She STILL jumps on people but she has settled down a lot. I know people say "You should do..." I've heard it all. She was not at the top of her class. Matter of fact out of 10 that started, 3 completed the training. And to protect the innocent we won't say where she ranked. But if you guess - yeah you were right.

Think of it this way -- she graduated 3rd in her class! Not too shabby. She's still a doll baby.

Thumbs up Dog Training

F16, Sadie Mae is doing OK!

I had to take Brutus TWICE to Dog Obedience! This was to supposedly build his self confidence as he is afraid of his own shadow. Sadly, he weighs 70 lbs and is still afraid of my 10 lb dog and my 8 lb cat.
