Is this a scam in the Classifieds They want money & then they ship you the dog.

If you google the phone number it's for pennysaverusa and they have locations all over the US. Texas, Ohio, Wisconsin, Colorado. Probably some kind of puppy mills.

Don't think these are Villagers selling to Villagers.

They called me twice after I called the # they gave in the ad the call was from Mi.

I sent an email to the admin about this yesterday and posted a thread on this forum. Admin deleted the thread and has NOT take down the classified listings for the puppies. This is a disgrace, that they have allowed them to advertise like this for so long.

I agree. Surely the Classifieds are meant for local Village People.
I respect Admin, and I'm sure they wouldn't allow advertising on TOTV for puppy mills!

Kahuna, I went and looked at the Classified ads as you requested.
There are quite a few ads for Yorkie puppies. How can this be allowed?
As we all know, only two dogs are allowed per household in TV.
A Villages Sales Rep told me that this two-dog stipulation exists mainly to ensure that no-one is breeding dogs in The Villages.
Since Admin stipulates that "Posters on Classified must be RESIDENTS OF TV listing items for sale within The Villages", these ads are clearly a violation of their own policy.
You said you sent an email to Admin and you haven't yet received an answer?

Perhaps we should keep this thread alive until Admin pulls those ads. If nothing else, they are in violation of their classifieds ads. Perhaps the correct person in TOTV hasn't come online yet to see this post or Kahuna's email?

Hopefully they will take these ads down soon.

GOOD NEWS, admin emailed me and the ads have been removed and user has been banned from the site. It's good to keep a sharp eye for these kinds of things and report them immediately to the Mod/Admin for removal.
