Our Hershey likes potato chips but not nicely cooked leftover Talapia.

Both of our cats; Mikey, Harry and Hershey rescued us.

I have never had a cat that would eat leftover cooked fish. But they all go crazy for tuna fish out of the can. Go figure!

Tombstone is addicted to what I call Kitty Crack..dried flake bonita tuna. The pet version is ridiculously expensive; the human version not so much. I gave some to uujudy for her cat and he sits by the cabinet it is in and cries until he gets some! They love it. It is available on Amazon and probably in japanese food markets. It is used to make some kind of fish sauce.

Pickles, my old Maine coon, loved mushrooms. She would never jump on the counter for anything else but if I was slicing shrooms, there she was with one paw out to steal her piece(s). Didn't matter how many times I tossed her off, she'd always come back for more. I would have to lock her in another room until I was done slicing.

Gabby, my black brat kitty (short, compact, sturdy and this side of fat) loves broccoli. She won't jump on the counter but if I don't drop her a piece, she'll nibble my ankle until she gets hers and it has to be the "tree" end. No stalk for her!

Yes, LadyDoc got Baby Monroe hooked on the Kitty Crack. Thanks a LOT Ladydoc! ;)

Years ago we had Little Kitty (a hermaphrodite, but that's another story) who would kill for string beans. She/he would growl fiercely at me, and the claws would come out, if I tried to take a bean away from her/him. :22yikes:

I'm once again convinced that you're all partaking of some unusual juices!

My Cat is perfectly happy hanging in there until the subtleties of ownership quiet down!

We have three cats, MamaCat (how original) and her two daughters- ET and Howie (we aren't very good at determining the sex of a kitten as can be proven by the names we have given them).
I have a tea called Valerian root that I drink when I cannot sleep. It has a funky bad cheese smell, but knocks me out everytime. As soon as the box of tea is opened, all three cats appear out of nowhere. Makes me feel like I am in the movie The Birds, with their eyes staring at me while I make my tea. MamaCat and Howie will sit close by and sniff the aroma, while ET does whatever it takes to get her face into my cup of tea.:D

My cat, Tombstone, has become a dog since we moved here. He sits nicely with the dogs and waits for this doggie cookie. He will try to knock food off your plate. (He is huge and can stretch out and actually look to see what is on the plate.) If that does not work, he will sit on one of the dining room chairs and "talk" to us until he gets a taste of whatever we are eating. These are all new behaviors....he never did any of them in NM.

Sounds as if we had your cat's cousin. Rusty was almost human and the only one of our children's several cats that would sit at the kitchen table very politely with good posture and paws beneath (like in his lap) and then would slowly bring it up and stretch it across the table to the buttered toast and snatch a piece.......it didn't matter what the food was. It was so humorous that we allowed him to keep doing it...........finally had to break him of the habit. Only one other of our cats, a white deaf female cat, would eat out of her cat bowl with her claws, bringing the cat food up to her mouth.

Rusty also LOVED BENGAY and if anyone had applied it to a sore back or whatever, he would be your best buddy. He was quite a character from kittenhood on. He also knew whenever the females in the family were using the bathroom..........he would sit outside the door and then slowly put his big red paw underneath the door. Unfortunately, my hubby killed him with ant spray.....unknowingly, on Palm Sunday. He also ran over the white cat one evening returning the kids from skiing, backing up into the driveway. We do have a virtual cat cemetery and dog cemetery in our old home's backyard.

However, as humorous as all of our cats were, over the years, our Irish Setters were by far the most comical.......they would gallop through the neighborhood and bring home bags of whatever they found on neighbors back porches.........one time a fireman's hat...another time a bag of ladies undergarments. Beautiful animals but crazy.

I got a large container of catnip and I can't ever have any in peace without my cats begging for some too!
