Default Swimming spot for dogs

Is there any place in The Villages (or out) where my Chesapeake Bay Retriever can swim safely? Obviously any ponds or lakes around could have alligators.

We had to take our Labrador retriever to a dog beach south of St. Petersburg called Ft. DeSoto. It’s the closest one we could find, and our dog loved it.

It's artificial, filtered and cleaned. Have you been there?
