Default Two cats in need of a home

We are looking for a home for two of our cats. We are over the allowed number of pets and must re-home two before we move in on Sept 5th.

These are young adults, extremely friendly both males, neutered and up on all shots, etc.

If anyone is in need of a cat (preferably two, they have been together since birth) please let us know. The humane society here will try to place them (adoption in Petsmart) but if they don't get adopter in a month or two they are euthanized. So, we are looking into alternatives.

Thanks

Many people here have more than two pets, especially if they are indoor cats. I would not look to rehome them until and unless it becomes an issue with a neighbor.

I second this.

You are allowed to have the pets you have until some die and then expected to have two. We had three cats for years.

Your cats would be heartbroken.

If we don't re-home them, we will have 5 pets on move in. I would think that would be pushing the idea...

If the cats are indoor-only cats, I personally wouldn't worry about it. Just do whatever is necessary to ensure that they don't leave your house except in a cage/pet carrier when they go for their annual checkup/vaccinations.

Move in with the fur babies you have they must remain indoor cats. They would not be safe here outside.
5 eventually will go to 2 as each passes. Leave them in the loving home you provide.

Do not rehome your cats or I won't like you.

Which "Humane Society" are you referring to please? The one where you are currently located or the one to where you are moving? I ask because the one here (YOUR Humane Society SPCA located in Sumter County FL) showcasing cats at the local PetSmart in Oxford/The Villages will not accept them then euthanize them due to time or space. We are a no-kill shelter. So could you please clarify your original statement?

Please, please keep the cats! They are part of your family. They are innocent creatures, not responsible for the move. Why would anyone complain if you keep them inside? They’ll get eaten if you leave them outside anyways. It’d be the same for anyone adopting them too.

Now do you also have several birds and a few koi as well?
