Urgent Lost Kitty
My neighbor's cat has been lost since Friday evening. "Boo Boo" is a large male, black and white, looks like he's wearing a tuxedo. He's 14 years old and diabetic (receives insulin twice a day). He unexpectedly shot out the front door and has been a housecat all his life. He does not like rain and so she fears he may have taken shelter somewhere--in an open garage, under a gas grill.... We are in Hadley, Edmonton Place, off Ambrosia, off Odell. Please reply to me if you see Boo Boo. I'll keep checking throughout the day. Thanks.

I once lost my fearful house cat and spent a couple of days calling her name but what eventually worked was going out in the evening when it was quiet and calling her name. I heard a tiny meow coming from a wooded area and found her pressed under a log shaking. Please tell your friend to try early morning and evening. Good luck.. they generally stay close to home. Let us know when you find him.

Oh no. Is this Debs kitty?
I will keep my fingers and toes crossed that he will come home soon. Remember the old phrase..."and the cat came back". |

In Norcal today - There was a pic in the paper from animal control of a female tortoise shell domestic short hair mix cat 2 years old up for adoption. Looked like the identical twin sister of our 2 year old female - I looked around the house for a few minutes to make sure she didn't get out. Brought our cat up here from the Bay Area last year so they can't be closely related.

Both cats and dogs tend to jump down into the drains along the sides of the residential streets. Check those close to your home and listen for meowing. The stray cats go in and out of them, so your cat may have tried to jump in.
PS. Shouldn't those drains have grates over those big holes near the back??!! |

Good News
Dear Santa,
I just heard on WVLG that you sent Boo Boo the cat home at 4 AM this morning. All of Hadley had been looking for him especially me. Thank you. Teddy |

Joy Joy Happy Ending
Well, as Gracie said, "The cat came back....." Not the next day but close enough. If you don't know the song, find an old Girl Scout.
Anyway Boo Boo has returned. Pat wants to thank everyone who went out looking for him yesterday and in particular Duffysmom who suggested calling out for him early in the morning when the 'hood is quiet. That's exactly when he returned to her calling his name. |

YAY !!! I'm so happy you got your kitty back. It was breaking my heart with this cold weather. I had to put my kitty to sleep in November & it's been really difficult !!!

Oh Bonny, I'm sorry to hear that and I'm sending you a hug. It's heartbreaking when we lose our beloved pets, who afterall, are members of our family.
Coconuts, way to go! It was kind of you and your neighbors to work so hard to find Boo Boo. Pat and Boo Boo-- Ya hooooooooooooooooo!! I love a happy ending. |

I love a happy ending. If only BooBoo could talk I'm sure he would have a tale to tell..... |

Now that BooBoo has had a taste of freedom in TV it might be difficult to keep her home!
