Looking for recommendations for a veterinarian in the villages or very close to the villages for my 13 yr old pug and 13 yr old border collie mix.

We started out at Paws Animal Hospital and were very disappointed. We now go to Buffalo Ridge and are very happy there.

I feel like a broken record, but I recommend Dr. Timothy Porter at Animal Care Center of Wildwood. 352-748-6348. no frills office in Wildwood next to Amish Furniture Store in strip mall with post ofc. and Ace. Common sense, does not recommend anything not needed, years of clinical experience. every one who has taken my recommendation has been happy.

We have changed to a vet in Summerfield that does not utilize TV "markup" for products and services.

Dr. Candice Manganaro of Park Heights Animal Hospital in Leesburg. 441, before you get to the Walmart intersection. She's brought our old guy through so many quirky conditions and is about to do it again.

She even kept in contact with us with advice and instructions while we were out of the country with him the last several months. She also took care of all our senior fosters. I got her name here on TOTV, from KathieI. She saved one of Kathie's schnauzers. She does research for all odd conditions and comes at things from different angles. Has direct contact with anyplace she has referred us to. I would follow her anywhere.

Does anyone wonder why in The Villages there is no Veterinarian that can do and echocardiogram?! Why is it we have to travel to Gainesville? Even some surgeries I am referred to Gainesville. Withe the size of The Villages this really baffles me.

If money is no object, stay in Villages, if you want the best, see Dr. Huff, Animal Clinic of Leesburg.
352-326-8940.
