Default Looking to Adopt Check Out South Lake Animal League

My friend just adopted the most amazing dog from South Lake Animal League. It is about 13 minutes from Main Street Leesburg. They had some really nice little dogs and big dogs. My friend said that the photos on their website do not do justice to the dogs. She said that if she had gone just by the photos of the dogs she was interested in, she would not have chosen to go down there. But she thought they had some dogs that they had not posted, yet. Was she surprised when she got there. The dogs from the photos were about 10 times cuter than the photos. The dog she adopted is quote "amazing". They also have cats, too. She didn't know if the cats are housed there or somewhere else as she wasn't there looking for a cat. The people were very friendly and helpful. If you go, you do have to drive down a dirt road for a little piece to get to the shelter. But it was not an issue. She couldn't believe how many people were there adopting. It is a busy place on the weekend.

They had 3 dachshunds and she took one. She believes the others one came from the same person. Her dog is house-trained, quiet, loves a bath, loves massages and belly rubs, etc. Even slept all night in her kennel without complaint. She is just a tiny little thing just like her 2 buddies who are still there. They were so friendly and quiet. What great dogs for a retiree.

Here is their website but don't pay much attention to the pictures all the dogs looked better than their photos: We are a no-kill organization that rescues abused, abandoned, and neglected dogs and cats. -
