Lilith.
Lilith - Wikipedia
Had a late friend who was a retired supervisor of some sort with the General Services Administration of the US government in DC. He named his pooch Lilith and made sure the rest of us knew what he meant by this name. He would give us a lot of the background for the name. The man did have a strange sense of humor but was fun to talk to. You never know what kinds of people you will run into at the dog parks in and around the Villages. He did talk a lot about the Lilith from the Ted Danson show Cheers as well. Lilith Sternin - Wikipedia |

I once had a dog named "Stay". Good dog, but hard to train. I would say "come here, Stay", but he would never come.

Just recalled Schatzi, Smokey, Bonkers, and Yoda. Not to mention the Jazzy who had a mohawk. Jazzy was shaved except for a mohawk. He used it as a way to create conversations with the ladies. Schatzi | Define Schatzi at Dictionary.com |

Pinball wizard:
I like shmegegge! I looked up this Yiddish gem. A shmegegge is a person who is both untalented and petty.

If I had a dog, I would name it "For Sale" or "Free To Good Home"

You probably would not have that dog long, I expect.

No arguments in our home naming pets.
All dogs were called 'Dog.' All cats were called 'Puss.' Even today when I pass the time of day with dog walkers when out walking, I still say "Hello Dog" to their pets. Sad! |

Just remembered Heidi, Pru, Chico, and Rita.
I saw Heidi push a level water bottle with a bowl at its end into a hole with her head so that the water flowed into the bowl. Smart German Shepherd. Chico and Rita team up in their big yard to come at prey from different sides like some kind of 21st century velociraptors. They have caught and killed a number of squirrels, mice, kittens , and other critters. |

If I get the Green Light without asking for it I will move with the speed of Nucky lightning and you can name me dog Bubkis or you just call him or her Bean's.
We watch dogs every so often for friends and our friends' friends. We accept no drama dogs if you know what I mean. We had the sweetest little girl named Cinnamon last week and I miss that little pup. A fine animal and a credit to her parents. We watched two German Shepards for my son several months back and overall they were cool but this isn't the time of life for me to be dealing with two behemoths like Tank & Shiloh! When the time comes, 100% rescue only, no discussion. They need us. |
