Default YOUR Humane Society SPCA Expands "Big Fix" Spay/Neuter Voucher Program & 100 Vouchers

Effective immediately, YOUR Humane Society/SPCA, formerly known as the Humane Society/SPCA of Sumter County, is now offering a new sliding-scale pricing for their "Big Fix" Spay/Neuter voucher program in order to help more of Sumter's dogs and cats in lower income households. It also includes an opportunity to receive a one-year Rabies vaccine at a discounted rate. Certain requirements must be met to qualify for the program. A pet owner's yearly household income level to take advantage of the lower costs is:

Yearly Income $50-25,000
Cost for Big Fix $0
Cost Rabies Vax $0
Total for Both Svcs. $0

Yearly Income $25,001-28,000
Cost for Big Fix $20
Cost Rabies Vax $15
Total for Both Svcs. $35

Yearly Income $28,001-30,000
Cost for Big Fix $35
Cost Rabies Vax $15
Total for Both Svcs. $50

Yearly Income $30,001-40,000
Cost for Big Fix $50
Cost Rabies Vax $15
Total for Both Svcs. $65

Yearly Income $40,001+
Program is NOT Available

A college student, with a full-time student ID, may spay/neuter their pet(s) for free.

Feral/Community/Barn Cats qualify for free spay/neuter, with a maximum of ten cats per month per colony.

REQUIREMENTS:

· A Spay/Neuter/Rabies Voucher must be completed at YOUR Humane Society/SPCA located at 994 CR 529A, Lake Panasoffkee, FL 33538.

· Applicant must be a resident of Sumter County to apply.

· A Voucher will be completed that includes pet owner’s name, contact information, and the pet’s description.

· Proof of annual income must be provided.

· Each voucher is valid for one spay or neuter, and a one-year Rabies vaccine only.

· No animal will be spayed/neutered without a current Rabies vaccine. Proof of current Rabies vaccine must be provided, or the pet will receive a Rabies vaccine, at the discounted rate of $15, along with the spay/neuter procedure.

· Total cost of services must be paid by cash or credit card to obtain voucher(s).

· No appointments will be made for any procedure until voucher is approved.
