The company that does our Termite Protection program has informed us our Termite warranty and yearly protection is about to expire since it has been six years since the pre-construction termite treatment was applied. Their proposal was a re-treatment and repair guarantee program. They quoted a one time, ten year re-treatment on a one time cost plus a annual renewal fee after first year. I was surprised I had to retreat after six years and thought their proposal was rather high since I have been paying a annual fee for the last six years. I want to get another opinion and quote. Does anyone have any experience and recommendations on other termite protection providers I could contact? Is it reasonable to have to retreat after five to six Years at a re-treatment cost of $600 plus an annual fee?

Sounds about right if they do a full re-treatment. Video in the bottom link suggests $800-$1500. The first 5 years annual fee is basically for sending the guy out to do the annual check for termite activity and look for wet areas etc. that might draw termites.

You can get some idea of what the products cost here:

Termidor SC seems to be the best right now.
