Hi! I'm thinking about renting at The Villages in November to find out what it's all about, and maybe consider getting something more permanent for the future.
Anyway, I was wondering about how easy or otherwise it is to get onto the golf courses, championship or executive, at that time of year. How busy are they? Are they busier than other courses, say, in the Orlando area?
The only reason I ask is that I had a look at the "Golfing in the Villages" PDF, and with reservation points and priority points I was left scratching my head. Am I just thinking slots are harder to book than they are? I'm just a single, btw.

We rent in February and March and almost never get shut out, despite playing at least five days a week. That is signing up as a twosome, a single should be even more easily accommodated. The point system is really pretty easy to manage and the online reservation system is very good and relatively easy to use. Feb and March are probably the two highest demand months of the year, but fortunately, we like to play early so we are usually able to get a preferable tee time. At that time of year, if one expected to play between 9 and 2, they would probably experience a lot of shutouts. In November it should be a relative piece of cake.

Accumulated points only last 7 days. So if you play 5 days straight and accumulate 10pts(2/day) by the end of the week of the first point assigned you'd only have 8pts...in other words points for a single day only last for 7 days and then disappear.

I played every day from mid January until mid April, some days twice. As a single golfer I made my reservations 3 days ahead, I never had advance reservations. I went on line and looked at the courses and time and had no problems. I have played 29 executive courses.
