Has anyone been to Aspen Dental on 441 by Longhorn steakhouse? We have switched our insurance to United Healthcare and Aspen is the only dental office in The Villages in their network. We would appreciate any comments you have about this practice. Thank you

Hate to say it but I've never heard a good thing said about Aspen Dental. Overpriced, claim you need work done that you don't and so on and so forth. Sorry and really hope you can find another dentist under your plan.

Here is a PBS Frontline story that should help you make up your mind.

Our health plan dropped Aspen Dental about 4 or 5 years ago as a provider. I haven't looked the last couple years to see if they were added. Our experience was awful, but not the Florida location. When we complained to the plan advisor we were told they had multiple complaints from all over the country.

I responded to an ad a couple of years ago for a free exam and X-rays. After my X-rays and exam, I was escorted into the financial office. I was then told I needed $2,000 worth of treatment for gum disease. My former dentist had retired, but I knew he had given me great care every six months. After hearing this estimate I immediately went home and scheduled a visit to another dentist whom I would pay for the X-rays and exam. I went and was told by the Dental Hygenist I could do the work at home by purchasing an electric toothbrush and water pic, so I did and had a good exam the next six months.
Aspen Dental is the worst place I have ever been. I have never heard anything good.

AWFUL!!! We went spend thousands! The crown they did is so poor and that even after going back 3 times! It's a revolving door dentist office I never had the same dentist twice! DO NOT GO!!! See if your plan is accepted at Bushnell Family Dentistry. It's a bit of a drive but well worth it. They're so good and reasonable! Just did a crown for me and it is perfect! Going back next week for 3 fillings and cleaning Dr. McAnly is wonderful!

I'm surprised that they're still in business. We had the WORST dental experience of our lives! Terribly OVER priced and awful customer service.

I would be careful. They are a chain and I remember a very negative story about one of their locations. I would not choose them.
