OK, I know this is frivolous and girly, ;D but I'd like to know if the Villages has "walk-in" pedicure shops and if so, approximately how much they cost.

Also, is Walmart the only store for inexpensively buying house stuff like towels, coffee pots, dishes, etc.?

Not Frivolous at all ;D Best place to get a pedicure at The Villages is the Beauty School off 466 near Wal-Mart. Call for an appointment. Cost--$19. They are wonderful!

Avista, that is wonderful news, and so convenient, just around the corner from our Villa in Belvedere. Thanks so much for the info.

This is good news. Do they do a "spa pedicure"? It runs 35. up north. How about CNL gel manicures? Where do they do them and charge? This is a great way to find the skinny on girls needs!

I actually ended up using Hollywood Nails on 466 close to the new Walmart. They were faster than the Beauty School, but a bit more money. Also Hollywood Nails does nail art, which they don't do at the Beauty School. Love those little daisies on my toesies.

:agree: Bare! Hollywood Nails is the best! We'll have to go together when you come back so we can sit back in the wonderful massage chairs, live divas, and gossip! ;D

Bare,

I had pretty good luck finding the household stuff at T.J.Max and Ross's at very reasonable prices. In the back of the stores are a pretty good variety of household items, very nice quality too.

and I would love to get some daisy's on my tosies too, can I come? Wonder if they let you bring a bottle of wine while you are being pampered????

All I know is, my niece and I are heading straight for a massage as soon as we arrive in TV tomorrow. Driving 2600 miles in 5 days can really hurt the old back.... :yikes:

Anyone wanna join us???

Kathie

I know what you're talking about. My trip from Florida to Michigan was only 3 days but my back has been bothering me ever since.

Is your niece moving down with you or just helping with the move ???

Be safe on your last leg. You're almost home!

Ohhhh my aching backkkk!!

kidding, I'm heading for Heavenly Hadley, so I'll put up with anything. But, we are heading for the Salon tomorrow for some pampering.

Niece lives in Orlando and flew to LA to drive with me. She's a very resourceful, adventurous, lady, so we were a perfect fit (If I say so myself and the fact that we're still talking, is a good sign.)

We will be safe, thanks Bright, cause I have a lot to look forward to. See ya in TV!!!!
