I heard a rumor that the Salon Professional Academy offers cheap haircuts and stuff if you are willing to sit for a haircut which would be part of their instruction? Anyone have any experience with getting a haircut at the Salon Professional Academy? I know that I would want to go at the end of their term of instruction and not near the beginning! :joke:

The Salon Professional Academy is near the new Super Wal-Mart. It is off a side road from 466 near CR 103.

Sure, I get my hair cut there every couple of months. Have not been disappointed, so far. It takes a little longer , so allow enough time. I like to start with a new person. That way I can request her again the next couple times before she graduates. So far, have never had anyone I didn't like. Prices are good.

Avista .. is this the same "Beauty School" you suggested for Pedicures for $19? What other services do they offer? Do you have a telephone number? Thanks.

Yes, same one. Telephone number 352-259-6717. There is a long list of starting prices on their card. Haircuts start at $9. Color and Style $25, Highlights $29, Perm, $29, facial $19, Manicure $9, Pedicure $19. Everyone is very nice, but often takes a little longer than your typical salon.
