I have two frost proof gardenias out of 10 that are not next to each other so it isn't "catchy" with the leaves turning yellow with the veins staying green. The leaves are dropping. It started a while ago so it isn't a reaction to the cold. Anyone know what this is? Or is there a place to take a sample for a diagnosis?

My mother used epsom salts. I also remember her always putting used coffee grounds around her gardenia,
roses, azelias and tomatoes to make the soil more acid.

So do I just put my coffee grounds on top of the soil or do I dig it in? I think I remember my mother doing the same..

Dig them in, other wise they may float away when it rains.
