We have had Prism (TV/Internet/phone) for over a year now and are happy with it. When we first moved in, there were some days when we had problems with pixalation. Once construction (and constant work on connecting more fiber lines to our local backbone) ended, so did the pixalation. Note that we are south of 466a and have fiber to the house. Older areas which don't have fiber to the house will have a much different experience.

We have had Century Link for almost a year now. So far so good. No problems at all!

We had Comcast for a year and were happy with it. We switched to Centurylink/prism a year ago because we got a better price but we re-learned that you get what you pay for. We have had problem after problem. Our internet drops at random intervals from hourly to weekly requiring a reset of the router. We have had them to the house numerous times and they have no fix. When they first installed we were supposed to have an emergency phone line. When we tried it there was no dial tone so we called (on our cell). They said there was not supposed to be a tone since it was only for outgoing 911 calls but to "trust" them it would work. On one of the many repair visits we asked again and the tech said there should be a dial tone- they had never connected the line. Most recently our TV and internet service went out altogether. We called and they could not fix over the phone so two days later a tech showed up. He said that we had been removed from service and that he had been having numerous calls for the same thing and that they should have been able to diagnose it online and fix it while we were on the phone. The channel lineup is decent but the On Demand is not anywhere near as complete or good as Comcast. We have the fiber optic cable so it is not that. I have spent close to 20-30 hours on the phone over the year. We will be switching back to Comcast as soon as our contract expires even though it is more expensive. Sometimes it is worth spending a little more to save the hassle.

We are thinking of going to Prism and would like to know any experience villagers have had with it.

See my comments above. 15 months of Prism and I'm still satisfied. Yes, there are occasional problems with pixelation - usually when they are splicing in new runs of fiber optic cable down here on the edge of the great southern wilderness...

I had DirecTV before moving here. I tried *really hard* to have it here. However, their idiots in bundle sales insisted that I was in a rural area and had to go with satellite internet and that there was no telephone service and no fiber optics at my home. I almost went outside with the installer and cut off a piece of fiber to send them. Their loss. (The sales person was downright insulting when I told them that there was fiber to the house!)
