In August we moved to The Villages from southwest Ireland. We'd never really been here before other than a few days two years ago while visiting my brother. We decided to rent a house here for a year to see if we liked it as the life style is so very different from any place we'd lived before. It has been a difficult adjustment, but we are finally beginning to feel a bit more settled.
I've been reading through TOTV for several months now and I want to thank all who post here, because reading your posts has been incredibly helpful. I've learned so much about TV through your comments and, unknowingly, ye have helped us begin to feel more at home. So as they say in Irish Go raibh maith agaibh.

I'm sure I speak for most of the wonderful people here on TOTV in saying 'cead mille failte' ( a hundred thousand welcomes) Marion.

From an American with lots of Irish blood (McElhaney's and Casey's), a great big shamrock welcome!

WELCOME TO PARADISE
I have a question.. We had relative from France visit here and we asked them if there were retirement communities in France/Europe and they replied that you had to go to Morocco. Are there any in Ireland.
PS We visited your beautiful country 2 years ago and it was wonderful.

Thank you for your welcoming words. BTW, the Dingle Peninsula is one of the most beautiful areas of Ireland. We lived in County Clare and then in Limerick City across the Shannon River from King John's Castle.
