The water line in my GE Refrigerator is always freezing. I called GE and they wanted to sell me a new door. However, I found a way to fix this. Turn the light on. Yes, it may take 12 - 24 hours but it works.

My 2 cents.

My 2 cents.HOP TAKE A HAIR BLOWER, LAY IT ON A SMALL TOWEL AND FACE IT AT THE LINE, LEAVING DOOR OPEN AND ALSO TAKE OUT ICE TRY, IT WILL TAKE ABOUT 20-30MINS. TO DEFROST LINE,YOU WILL HEAR THE ICEMAKER :crap2: TURN ON THE WATER REFILLING MOTOR OURS TOOK ALMOST A HALF A DAY TO RECYCLE, BUT IT WORKS GREAT NOW. HOPE THIS HELPS

The fact that GE has a Dispenser Water Tube Heater as a factory part says it all about GE engineering.
Still, if you call GE customer service you may be able to get it free. If not, check Amazon.
