Lady Lake Police have released images of “persons of interest” in last week’s purse snatching at the TJ Maxx parking lot in The Villages.
The purse snatching left a woman hospitalized. It happened around 3 p.m. Jan. 9 in the parking lot in the Rolling Acres Shopping Plaza.
Police have released images of a black female and black male believed to have been using the victim’s credit card at a convenience store. At the time, the pair were operating a blue minivan of which the police have also released an image.
The woman was in the parking lot when she was approached by a black male in his 20s wearing baggy pants with his underwear showing, police said.
After taking the woman’s purse, the suspect fled on foot in the direction of the Target parking lot. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office brought in a blood hound and canine to search the area.
The woman suffered serious but not life-threatenting injuries and as treated at The Villages Regional Hospital.
Those who may have information about the case are encouraged to contact the Lady Lake Police Department at 751-1565 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.

Something is not allowing the copy of the pictures. I believe it is in our best interest to see these pictures so go to villages dash- news dot. com to see the images of the two perpetrators and their van.

I will try to photograph the photograph.

Gracie, I do so admire your creative use of asterisks! They are so "1984ish".

Lock em up throw away the key!

Anyone who preys on the vulnerable is despicable. Anyone who robs anyone is despicable. But these people are persons of interest. There may be more people involved in this crime.

Were they able to use the credit cards? Seems like it's only a matter of time before they are arrested. (Thank goodness) Police are on to something!!! From what I've read, it seems like the victim will be ok? Thank god for that. Need to catch the cowards who picked on an elderly lady!!

Isn't it a felony, to beat up a person, over 65 years of age, or older?

Preying on the elderly. A sorry excuse for a human being. IMHO

They are persons of interest. As far as I know they haven't been charged with a crime or convicted. Yet.

Yea, they were ONLY using the victim's credit card at a convenience store. Maybe they found the card on the street and were just see'in if it would work.

Yes, I agree that was a stupid comment on my part. And I wasn't trying to defend pond scum. I think that although they are described as "people of interest", the police would not be publishing their pictures unless they felt they were responsible.
