Are the Urgent Care facilities equipped to diagnose and treat minor skin cancer?

If not, who would you recommend?

Thank you

Don't know the answer regarding Urgent Care Facilities however we are patients of Dr Tran and very happy with his service. He is very thorough.

Thank you, good people.

I have also heard good reports on David Casper.

I've used Dr. David Casper, MD, of Alliant Dermatology on 466 several times. He has excellent credentials and a pleasant, respectful bedside manner. There are a lot of folks who do dermatologic surgery in TV who are not MDs.

That's who I was trying to think of. I believe he has been recomended by very many people on this forum.

Lots of neighbors including my husband and myself go to Dr Tran and those that don't go to Dr Casper. Everyone is happy with either one.

Another "vote" for Dr. Casper. He's terrific, his brother is Office manager and also wonderful. However, the young lady who works the reception desk needs to find a career that she enjoys because she is rude and indifferent to patients.

Villages Dermatology...Dr Tran does the surgeries and is excellent...His assistants will generally administer the Liquid Nitrogen for minor Basel cell...however it is sometimes necessary to get a biopsy to determine the extent of the damage.

Thanks to Dr. David Casper and his staff they took a biopsy of a node on my husband's arm (which for 2 years we have been asking 3 doctors what it is, even though it's gotten larger) and found out it was Stage 3 Malignant Melanoma and had surgery done at Moffitt Cancer Center on March 21, 2014. We owe his life both to our new primary care doctor - Dr. Sara Gitte-Acosta and to Dr. David Casper's office from the PA, him, and testing site.:BigApplause:

Dr Casper is wonderful, as you can tell by the universally positive reviews on TOTV, but please keep this information to yourselves. I'd rather he stay available.

as you search keep in mind most dermatologists do surgery of one kind or another. However, not all dermatologists do MOHS surgery.....usually involving face, neck and very delicate, exposed, places.

I make it a practice to use a dermatologist who is MOHS trained and certified.

Dr. Tran has been our guy for several years....he and his team of assistants are first class.
