My wife and I have been dreaming of this time for several years. Next Friday we leave Indy and fly to The Villages to buy a home. So excited yet somewhat apprehensive. It will be a short visit, staying with friends until Tuesday and not moving to TV until April.
Really looking forward to meeting neighbors and starting new friendships.

indianavette, Good luck with your home search, and have a great time in TV. I noticed one of your former residences was Naperville. I am one of your former neighbors in N.W. suburban Cook County. I am sure you will not miss the Midwest winters once you move to The Villages.

You will not regret your move! This is our first year anniversary moving to this wonderful paradise from Indiana! We definitely do not miss the bad weather. Good luck and welcome to The Villages.

If your UserName is descriptive and you do own a Corvette, I'm sure you will find lots to do with the car in TV - all kinds of car clubs, cruise-ins, etc. A friend of ours is a member of a club in Orlando - they have many Vette events there as well.

Welcome!

Tom and Sharon,

Hope you find the perfect home. You're just going to love it here!

We closed in October and moved here Christmas night. We are from Lockport, used to live in Naperville. I miss my family but certainly don't miss the weather they are having.

As a new-be you will love it here, i have been a "Villager" for 11 years, know all the in's, outs, the good, bad and the ugly. If the Sales people haven't told you yet, the Villages are in 3 countys, do your homework, they all are different.

Well hello neighbor! Congratulations! We bought in Collier in October but won't be down until September. Maybe one day our paths will cross.

We bought the same home in Collier. Moving in mid Feb. Sad I sold my Vette last May. Might have to buy another one. The Orlando Corvette Club which we use to be members of has some great people. I am sure Village Vettes is fun too. Look us up when you get to town.

I think it's normal to have some apprehension about a big move. I know I did, and I desparately wanted to be here.

Congrats on your move, and best wishes as you start living the dream.

BTW - I'm sure you won't miss the cold winters, up north. :D

We bought in Collier. We will be "in and out" until early May, at which time we become frogs...Hopefully we will meet you in may.
